I have a spot in my basement with exhaust fans and heat.

dupont rattle can touch up paint for ford dark metallic toreador red. Black metallic 3 thin layers each wetsanded with 1500 grit . I plan about 4 coats of clear to make it last.

maybe a $100.00 (cost) paint job when I get done.

Flash. That is not a nicely done home rattle can job. IT IS FREAKIN GORGEOUS! Love the colors, love the striping and the badge is beautiful!!! Righteous job.

    Couple questions:

How much painting experience did you have prior to this adventure?
Where did you buy the paint?
Where did you learn your tecnique?
How come I don't see an ilustrated "How To" in in the "How To" section of this forum.

If you would consider doing a "how to" think about the motorcycles and not the owners. These bikes deserve to be beautiful!

Thanks again for the photos of a beautifully executed paint job.

    Humbly and respectfully submitted,

    Wamaxim

I use rattle cans on small projects My first was restoring my 1973 schwinn varsity 10 speed about 15 years ago.

get the paint from an auto parts store

The technic wasn't all that hard I have a few attachments for my rattle cans the make it feel like aa regular paint gun ,I usually apply 3 or 4 thin coats waiting about 15 minutes inbetween coats to allow the paint to flash / set up before I use the clear on it i wet sand the whole thing with 1500 -2000 grit wetsand paper.

I guess I can make a short post on how to for you will try to get on it this weekend providing it rains LOL
