one reason for wanting pods is 1- for the looks 2- try and get some more power and 3- i have a friend with a good idea. his idea is to put pods on so we can utilize the space where the air box was. i recently put on aftermarket pipes with turn outs and his idea is to place a propane bottle in the space where the air box was and run 2 lines towards the tips of the muffler and place an igniter at the end and have some really cool flames popping out of the pipes. sounds pretty cool if you ask me.

it does sound cool, if your going to do it depending on the size of the pods and how close they are in proximity you may want to make seperator shrouds so they dont rob power from each other. it may even be good to see if you can find a tapered pod and cup type cover for each one .. it will also reduce the ammount of dust and dirt getting to the filters.

    - just a thought

You will need to re-jet the carbies also. Which isn't a small task. One i will never do again.

not sure why you need to use propane just richen up the mixture on the bike and put a coil in place of the airbox and wire it to a switch on the handle bar. then run the coil wires to spark plugs screwed into the ends of the pipe. then all you have to do is turn on the coils rev up the engine then turn off the coils and watch the show
