I am 46, layed off, unable to find work and soon to be foreclosed.
At least I still have my XJ to keep me sane.

I met a guy when I was looking for my bike last year that was selling his nighthawk because he figured at his age he should stop riding. After some conversation he told me he was 79....

I'll be 34 this June, my 83 was made the same year i have some of the fondest memories of my life so far, young and free, not a care in the world.
So i figure it's time to have a time in my life i can look back on and think of it as the second best time of my life :) With a bike that was new when i was going through my first best time of my life..

Anyways i think you guys get what i'm trying to convey hahah

OH ya, not married, but have been with my love for 6 years, no kids, so i have a bit more flexability in my cashflow :)

    Like a case of beer, I'm 24

My Seca is TECHNICALLY my second bike if you count the 125 I rode around on while living in Asia (technically mine, but it was more of a loan) but really, its my first. I needed a bike, it was rather inexpensive, we work well together.

This might be the straight line to a joke, but what do Canadian's call a case of beer?

    Hi ktcubed.

I don't know about Canada, in eastern Australia they are called "cases" but in good ol' west Australia they are "cartons" or "slabs'.

So when you through a slab of ribs on the barbie, you also can through a slab of beer back?

We throw prawns on the barbie, and beer down our throats. More common though is just a simple mix of sausages, steaks and chops......

Here in the southern US, if its meat we'll grill it for the most part.

    Mow it...

Of course all that is just the stereotype. I grill veggies to. (Don't tell anyone, I might have to give back my membership card).

I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that I am only on of three in the 0-19. My generation doesn't appreciate a true classic and they are not willing to put in any wrench time. They would rather go wreck daddys crotch rocket. It's really very sad.

Well I work in a bar, so the term "case" gets used a lot. Especially when I'm yelling at the bus boy over the music. "Case Canadian" or "Case Coors" works really easy and is easy to understand. But, here in the great white north we refer to cases as two-fours.

We even have an entire weekend dedicated to it. Its called May Two-Four, better known in the rest of the commonwealth as Victoria Day, which here is a nice 3 day weekend in which everyone calls in sick Friday to get an early start.

Copious amounts of the sacred beer are consumed on this weekend. There is also another tradition where on your 24th birthday you must consume 24 bottles of beer from midnight to midnight on the day. Its known as the two-four for your two-four.

Just to clear it all up :p
