    Hello everybody, I'm your FNG. I currently ride Vmaxes, but the my first street bike ever was an 85 XJ750 (or 700?) I don't remember. Man I loved that bike, rode it all over the southwestern US.

    Anyway, a friend of mine just bought an 86 XJ700 and I was looking for information on customization and tuning and thought I would join up and see what you guys had to offer.

    After riding his bike home for him (it's his first bike) I did NOT want to get off of it. There is just something damn fun about the old Maxim. I had forgotten how MEAN they sound when you throttle them up!!

    Haha! I was just searching the local classified ads for a project XJ. Any opinions on 750 vs. 700 maxim? Why was there a CC reduction?
