You either love the mufflers or you hate them. I personally think most aftermarket slip-ons look like garbage on this bike and I absolutely LOVE the gold plating they put on the stock mufflers. I'll be keeping them for now until I can find (and afford) a suitable aftermarket exhaust.

If you want to see the previous edition of the mufflers, check out a 2003-2006 Kawasaki Z1000 (that's the make and model of my new bike, by the way).

Since the 01 Chevy Prism died (engine seized, totally my fault) we are down to the Seca and an 05 Elantra Hatchback. I have to say for the price it is a great car and hauls our family of 4 around quite well.

After we pay of the Elantra my guess is we will get a Minivan. Not all that glamorous but a they are so darn useful especially when you have kids.

Minivan's are great. I'll never own anything else. Great on trips, decent gas mileage, they can tow a bike or boat or small travel trailer, haul the kids and their stuff, their friends and their stuff, and if you get a Grand Caravan or bigger take out the seats and haul drywall!

    Hm....let's see:

    1981 DeLorean DMC-12
1974 VW "Thing" or it's also known as a Type-181
1974 VW Beetle converted to battery-electric drive (no gasoline, plug it in)
    2006 GMC Canyon crew-cab 2WD.

I had more but I sold some off. I also have a boat.

Exactly. Growing up my parents had a minivan. After me an my siblings left the house that poor van was about to fall apart with well over 200k on the odometer. With 3 grandkids now my parents decided to go ahead and get another minivan because it was just too darn useful.

A trusty 1991 Mazda Protege DX...1 cam 16 valves...105 HP of fury. Bought it for 50 bucks three years/50k miles ago only thing it asks for are consumables. Well, it did get a side pipe =) but that's because it was "forcibly removed" by a corn field and the side pipe build up was cheaper than a stock exhaust. 162k going strong.

Yeah...I bought it as kind of a temper-tantrum when I got back from the Persian Gulf. I was sick and tired of being "like everyone else" and this car let me express my individuality because there's only about 6,000 left in the entire world. I had to restore it. Long story.

You don't drive it, you pilot it.

A Houston company bought all of DMC's left over stock and says they are going to make a limited number of "new" DeLorean's out of the stock from the original factory in Ireland. I don't think it ever came to be though.

Delorean.com (Houston, TX) bought everything from "Big Lots" in the mid '80's and they've been sitting on it ever since. I've been buying my parts from them ever since I bought my D-Lo.

The new frames are stainless by Pierce Design and are almost identical to the originals. The originals were also of an X-design. There are a few improvements, but basically they are the same.

Believe me, I know ever nut and weld on my car, and I know it's history, the company's, and the man's history intimately.

my baby hauler is an '01 jeep grand cherokee limited - that gets 20-24 on the highway, and if i abuse it, i get about 13 around town.
my other toy is my '79 chevy monte carlo. before the recent cam swap she gave me a whopping 6 mpg. hopefully i'll be a little more efficient with the new cam (the old cam was left over from my buddy's 400 small block in his circle track car.)

Two F150 extended cab pickups. One is a '97 with 208,000 miles on it. Is currently in the shop. Figured it was finally time to take care of her. She gave me so many miles without so much as a wimper. And some if not most of them were not so nice miles. I HATE working on my own truck. The other is an '04 with 120,000 miles. Put way more money in maintenance on the newer one than the old one.
I did have to take all the audio out of the truck before going into the shop. So, I guess I did have to work on it before someone else could work on it. Oh well, guess I could have taken it to a reputable shop, but it would have cost me 3 times as much.

    I had a ,78 Monte Carlo.
They came stock from the factory with those soft cams, in the 305.
If you make it past 70-80K with out it puking you were usually alright.
I still dig that body style, I believe it was only a three year run.

yah, the original cam was a joke. i finally have one that's a little more appropriate in there now.
it was a 3 year run, and they changed something every year (and mine's a super rare half model year.) good luck finding body parts :?

For you Monte Carlo lovers I had a 74 Monte blue with white landau, a 454 with posi-trac. Had this when my son was born 26 years ago. It didn't pass too many gas stations but the cam never went flat either!

Got rid of it. Had to decide either keep the kid or the car. I miss that car..... Love the kid though.

    Well, I have a 1998 K2500 Suburban 4WD and a 1987 Ranger. Both have over 150 k on the odo.

Seeking efficiency is only one of the smaller reasons I ride.

I mainly ride everyday (in SC we can do that year round) 'cause I'm a two wheel addict.

Until its untimely death by semi in Dec '07, A 2002 Prius. Loved that car. Can't wait till I can get another. Now a 95 Infiniti G20 - couldn't afford another Prius. My wife drives an '04 Pacifica. Wish we had waited some 6 months to buy that as their prices dropped significantly when gas hit $4/gal ... could have saved several thousand $.
