my bike is oozing oil out of the breather on the final drive whenever i ride. i pulled the fill bolt and the level is fine... it was like this when i bought it. i'm going to change the oil. my only thought is that the PO put in some motor oil and it increases the volume when warm... possible? any other idea's?? :?:

My 900 used to do that. Turns out, the breather cap was pushed down too far and blocked the vent, allowing the gearcase to pressure up. Might be worth looking into.

I also heard that it does this when it's cold out.

well it could be the cold. since i got it it hasn't been above 50f. i'm not sure what you mean about the breather being pushed down too far. it doesn't move.

Rode my bike for the first time this year on Friday. Was just under 50 outside. I also noticed oil coming out of the gear assembly. Drained it and will be replacing this weekend..
