Ha ha ... I know exactly how that ding happened ... bike fell in the truck ... except it fell on the left ... man that's rare ... why didn;t he leave the centerstand down ???
BTW you may not ask how I know this, and the second time it wasn't my fault ... the tie down broke ... The first time it was super super wet and bike leaked oil or somehting ... so its slid out itself ... But here is the kicker ... first was a nighthawk 650 ... like 6-7 years ago. The second was a month and a 1/2 ago on the damn maxim X.
    Cool.

haha, yeah...looking at that dent I can almost the the outline of a bedliner...

I have to wonder how easily a dent like that would come out.

Does anyone have pictures of a 650 Maxim with stock tank and 650 Maxim with a 750 tank on it so I can compare the 2? I'm picking up my 650 Maxim tomorrow and making up my list of things I want to do to it. With the 750 tank being bigger (from what I understand), if it looks good enough, this might be something I'd want to do. Thanks in advance

Look in my gallery. The picture of the bike with the black exhaust system on it has the 750 tank, whereas the one with the tank that has the Yamaha badge has the original 650 tank.
They definitely look different. I wasn't so sure I liked the bigger one at first but it grew on me.

Jimw, when you put the 750 tank on the 650 frame, what did you do about the stock 650 seat? Did you use the 750 seat, or have to modify the 650 seat, and if so.....how? Thanks.

The tank should fit with no modifications.
