First ride of the year

My garage helper and I woke up this morning and decided that today was a "must ride" day. 6 hours later and we were on the road. Now dont quote me on the following but....

My bike never ran so smooth
It's paint never shined so well
My clutch never felt stronger
The engine never sounded better
The seat never felt better
My brakes never worked better
I never looked so cool
Everyone and their brother looked at me with envy.
and so on and so on....

You get my point.....It was a good day

Glad someone got to ride, Snowing here and I have a broken tailbone.. So no riding fun for another month.. Meanwhile... New headlight bezel, shocks, and soon to have mufflers ordered for bike, and hopefully full tune-up soon.

 

still too much crap on the roads for me, be careful out there

 

It was a beautiful day here in NC, 75 and sunny. Rode 100 miles with 200+ other bikers, got sunburn, it was a great day.

 

NICE! i had my first ride of the season yesterday, but it was on my sisters lowered GS500. I NEED TO RESURRECT MY XJ BEFORE THE SEASON IS IN FULL SWING!!!

 

i got a few hours here in ohio almost 70 did a few hours body getting use to it lol i was over the addiction now back on the crack lol

 

I was out yesterday as well! I did have to shovel a path across the lawn, and I did get stuck a couple of times - but I made it out to the road

Man what a treat! Bike was only away for Dec-Jan-Feb this year

 

+1 wonderful day I managed about 100 miles

 

I got about 100 in yesterday. Still trying to get the mixture right but it was a chamber of commerce day here by the beach

 

I think as the season opens, the forum is about to get a whole lot quieter.

 

First ride of the season is already behind me as well (7 March with a +7oC or 44oF). Went for a very short ride with each of my three sons. With snow still present in Gatineau, QC I got a lot of weird look, and of course I replied with a huge silly smile.

 

There is a reason I live in florida.... Everyday is a day to ride.... I admit that last week when it was 42 and felt like -42 at 70mph I was dreamin of my truck... unforetunately for me that was in the shop and I needed the bike to get to work. What can I say. I moved to florida BECAUSE I can ride 365 days a year.

There were alot of bikes out in Detroit friday.
I got in my second ride of the year with a commute to work and back and a short ride with my biker buddies after work.
I am not sorry to see winter on it's way out.
Glad your first ride of the season was a good one.

My first ride was in FEB here in MI!!! It was nuts I rode the bike on a tuesday and on Fri I was riding the snowmobile. we had about a 55-60* warm up two or three weeks ago. It was nice and I know the feeling. Last Thurs and Fri I rode the bike into work. Thye guys were jealous and it got three of them getting back to work to get thier bikes ready for the season.
