just got my carbs redone and runs so much better then before. but now that i have my carbs rebuilt i have to use starting fluid when the engine is 100% completely cold. As your cranking on it with the starting motor you can kind of hear hear it ignite every once in a while before you put starting fluid in, after starting fluid is introduced than it fires right up. It was not like this before i had the carbs redone it would just start right up, albeit it kind of needed the choke for a long while and ran better cold with choke than warm with no choke ,and stuttered on the lowend . now it does not need the choke for nearly as long and definitly runs better when on the road, but needs starting fluid to start when cold .
im confused help me??? possibly float levels???

FYI: carbs are balanced/synched, and colortuned to blue, 3 turns out roughly.

Sound to me like your enrichment circuit in your float bowls is dirty. You need to pull the float bowls off & clean the little openings in the bottom of the bowls. If they are plugged they will not draw fuel fro bowl to allow eng to start. I believe it's in the FAQ forum, there is a thread on how to clean your enrichment circuit. Read that, get them clean & try again. I believe you will find it will start in 1 or 2 revolutions, I know mine did.
Good luck & keep us posted on results.

Ultrasonic cleaning will normally NOT even come close to unplugging a really clogged starter jet....the passage is tiny. You have to loosen the gunk with solvent (carb dip, etc.) and then physically probe the passage with an instrument that is smaller in diameter than the jet (you DON'T want to enlarge the jet!), and then blast out the remnant gunk with high-pressure air or carb cleaner. You'll know when they're zestfully clean because:

    a) carb cleaner shot thru the passage will jet out of it for a full 5-feet away
    b) your bike will start at the mere touch of a button with the choke on, even on the coldest days (assuming the rest of your engine/ignition/carbs are okay!)

how did you determine that the bowl gasket was the culprit? and by bowl gasket you mean that black rubber/hard black thing that is between the carb and the bowl correct. bad description but im confused as to how that would affect it.

let me know how you thought that one up please

i have roughly the same problem. cleaning the carbs and sync them for the second time.

it was blocking a passage , see the the enrichment circuits in the bowls passed inspection with the carb cleaner test so i did a little further investigation and viola it seemed that the carb gaskets where blocking a passage
