I would, and did. Try putting your hand on there at the end of a ride and tell me what you think. It's hot enough to warrant hi-temp paint. I bought a couple spray cans, sprayed paint into a small container til I had a pool and used a small paint brush and toothpicks to paint the emblems.

I've used Duplicolor High Heat Engine paint.
    So far it's been excellent.

ya, just get the 500 degree stuff, and you down need to use a brosh, i tapped a box around the word, and then just spray it on, let it dry about 3 minutes, take a cloth, get it wet with paint thinner, then take that cloth and dab another cloth to get it not dripping wet, and wipe away, comes right off and the letters stay black, woo hoo

Nice quick and easy way to clean up the emblems Schooter. This sure beats spending hours taping and cutting out each letter.

I've got to get hold of Chacal to get the gaskets for all of the side covers so I can polish them. IT IS SO EASY TO DO! It goes quick and is unbelievably beautiful when it's done. I have one of my SilverWing valve covers polished and will publish pictures soon. With a bench grinder/buffer it just takes minutes to put on he final polish. The ultimate final touch will be to paint the letters with fresh new paint.
