Ok I have a manometer for balancing the carbs on my XJ750 and I started balancing them this morning but have ran into a problem...

I can balance #1 & #2 and then #3 & #4 but with I try and balance #1 bank to the #2 bank it just starts trying to pull all the fluid out of the manometer. This is when I hook the manometer to the #2 carb and the #3 carb...

    any ideas????

Yes - they're way out of sync... which ever way it goes turn it the other way.

    WOOT: OUTSTANDING Youwere exactly right.

I went back outside and just screwed the screw down about 4 turns and started the bike and it was at least on the manometer and not sucking up one side to much so I was able to balance the 2 banks and had to turn the idle down about 3 times while doing this..

Man what a difference on the rsponce of the throttle now. I even rechecked the balancing between 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 and the 2 banks. Perfect!!!!!

Now, what about the air/fuel mixtures??? Should I mess with them as I have no colortune or anything else to check this other than my ear!!!

Maybe I'll leave well enough alone.

This is the best throttle responce I have had since owning the bike over 4 years.....I've been taking it to my so called mechanics here and it has never ran this good..

Again Thanks a million WOOT and Thanks also to this XJ Forum and the website..

Khundan, Good to hear it's running better. I'd leave well enough alone for now with the mixture. Ride it for a couple of days then check the colour of the plugs. Tan colour is good, black is time to think about mixture setting.

    Cheers

Well I took the bike for a ride and it ran very good. So my carbs are balanced and I turned all 4 pilot fuel/air screws out to 2 1/4 turns and the bike is really runing good. Thanks to Woot and to this forum..

Have a rally this weekend about 4 hours from here and then another one on the 17th of Feb about 8 hours away. Will let all know how it works out..
