To be honest I haven't looked that hard for parts but I figure maybe a fellow XJ'er might have something laying around. The bike is an '82 maxim 650. I could use...

A set of YICS 650 cylinders (I am trying to get mine to work but it looks like I will have to replace them)
    A maxim rear grab bar
    Rear turn signals
Somewhere to find nice seat cover

I'll probably find other things to add to the list as soon as I get home and can actually look at the bike.

I've got the grab bar from my maxim 750 laying in a box if your interested.

As for blinkers, I'll have a pair of stock ones that are in damn fine shape sometime within the next two weeks. If your willing to wait, they're yours as well.

As a heads up, from my 750 I also have the following available:

All for sale or trade. All parts mentioned have the all the hardware needed for mounting as well.

Accessory Lamp (not stock the stock rectangle one, a fancy oval one)
    Center stand
    Stock handlebars with mounting assembly
    Rear footrests (buddy pegs)

Yeah, I can wait. I've been into this bike for almost 18mo now. Although I think it is starting to look respectable. How much do you want for the grab bar and blinkers?

I have a damn-near perfect 650 Grab-Bar ... all aluminum with the Yamaha lettering on the back. 20-bucks plus the UPS and we have a deal.

    Rick,

I appreciate the offer but I am just going to paint the thing. I'll keep it in mind incase I don't find anything else though.

Well, the 750 grab bar is rubber coated, not sure how well painting it would go.

I'm curious if the 750 bar will even fit a 650, considering how different the rear section is.

Check it out and let me know before we decide on anything.

Allright, I'll have a look around at a few places like bikebandit to see what I can dig up. How much for just the blinkers?

It looks like the rear mounting holes are off by about 1/2" - 1" so I don't think the bar will work. Thanks for the offer though.

I'll go 10$ + shipping on the blinkers.

Lenses are good, posts are good, bulbs work. The right side has a scratch in the chrome but is otherwise just fine.

I prefer trades to cash if you have any parts laying around that you don't need.

PM me and we can work out the details.

Nah ... the 650's not the same ... I bought it on spec; hoping I could do away with the split and rubber-coating.
