Just go to the hardware store and buy a plastic 1 gallon gas can, and a little brass 3/8" spigot/nozzle plumbing thingy. Drill a hole in the side of the tank near the bottom and stick it in (under the filler cap so that you can tighten the internal nut.)

Mine tighened up with no leaks and works great. You will inevitably take a ride around the block with it and feel like a idiot, though... 8)

Excellent idea XJRook! I just use the pourspout off of a can of gear lube in place of the pourspout on my 1 gallon gas can. Had to trim off the threads and install a seal to prevent leaks but your idea sounds a little more user friendly.

Another option would to use what I used. Since getting my bike I have inevitably replaced the battery as one of the first things. The ones from WalMart worked fine. Any way I rinsed out the acid holder container, since you have to fill the battery, let it dry, poured gas in, screw the original lid back on and hooked it up to the bike with the same fuel line that was on the petcock. tip it up side down, Poke a hole in the bottom and you are ready to go. Free isn't bad. I keep telling the wife "Not Cheap just getting the most bang for my buck" Works for me

I went down to the small engine repair shop and the man there sold me a small gas plastic gas tank for $5.00 usd

Another idea is to get about 4' of fuel line and set your tank on say a picnic table and stand your bike nearby and use the longer fuel line to reach in between, this is especially useful when syncing carbs or color tuning. Fuel line about $4.00 usd
