I was checking that out on CNN the other day. That'd be pretty damn useful in these parts, 6-7 months out of the year we've got snow on the freeways.

If they went into production, weren't $20,000+ and were highway legal I'd consider getting one :D

It looks cool too! Not very practical in my neck of the woods, but hey neither is a 40,000.00 custom, but people have em. :)

    Thanks for sharing the link.

If I've read that correctly - it's exactly backwards of a motorcycle to steer...

Motorcycle: Push left to go left

Hyanide: Push right to go left

Still - that's a damn cool rig... be fun to play with.

Actually on a motorcycle we use the right handlebar to push left as well, if we want to go left. It doesn't seem like thats's what we do, but it is. I remember being told that in my MSF class. I was a bit confused until I actually paid attention to the motion as I was turning.

    Um - to clarify.

To turn left I push the left bar forward - turning the front tire momentarily right. That throws the balance of the bike left, causing it to lean left. It then tracks left because of the angle and the changed geometry of the bike when the front wheel is turned from center.

That's countersteering - pushing the bike counter to the direction you want to steer...

I think I may have worded it too sparcely before

Now - when I'm really wrestling the bike - I will push the left bar and pull the right bar to REALLY throw it hard to the left lean.

You could look at is as 'exactly backwards of a motorcycle,' or 'exactly the same as a snowmobile.' :D
