    :lol: Man, if only I knew how.

    This brings up a good point. If someone would video tape the 'XJ carb synch' procedure, I could convert the video to web friendly format and post it here in downloads section or something. Currently there is no downloads section at XJBikes.com but I can make that happen if I there is a need for it :wink:

    I bought the YICS tool, and will buy some Mercury sticks I guess, I am also lazy and dont work well with others. :)

    Yeah I was even thinking of going as far as to buy a used carb rack on ebay for cheap for my xj750 maxim and then try rebuilding it.

    Hi good idea.i took my xj 650 carbs out as one no petrol going to cylinder,orde ord new parts replaced main jet and emulsion tube,?as totally blocked, still not fixed,
    But now I see a lake of black oily petrol on ground, maybe I should have just tried to soak/clean old parts instead.
    Any idea what I need to do.id sure appreciate any views.tony in irelaIr

    did you check the needle valves the things the floats push up and lower to allow fuel into the bowls?

    if not working proper the fuel will overflow the carbs into air box and flush out any oil in air box then leak on the ground through airbox drain
