Well fellas the time has come to part ways with the XJ. On this past Friday the wife decided we needed a change. No not Obama change but a change of addresses. She moved out on Friday but left me the XJ. Not sure if it was a fair trade. The bike will soon be posted for sale because I have bills to pay and school starts for me in May so I have to be ready. I am in Arkansas so If anybody knows anybody that needs a good one let me know please. It was nice to get to chat with you guys, you are all a wealth of knowledge.

    Thanks,
    Slo-Poke

Jeff, sorry to hear. I hope there aren't kids involved. They almost always seem to be the ones hurt the most.

Here's a thought. I did this when my ex decided she liked her boyfriend better than me and her daughter.

I sold all my vehicles to my Dad for $1. Transferred the titles to him. All she got to drive was her broom!!!

After the divorce was final, I bought everything bach from him for $1.

I never got a dime of child support from her even though it was ordered. 18 years and nothing. The other way around, I would have benn sitting in jail.

Now, just because you don't have an XJ doesn't mean you can't still hang out here. We ain't Harley guys!!!

    Good luck.

    Greg

Slo, life must be very hard for you now but you'll get through it. Maybe the Maxim was the better part of the deal.

One last thought. As mentioned above we're nor Harley riders but we still like hearing from '04 Sportster riders who are students!

Thanks guys. It is a hard time right now for me. On the same day I find out the wife is leaving I also found out my 1st cousin SFC Bradley Snipes U.S. Army committed suicide. So my day really suckedWe attendes the funeral service tuesday in Clarksville TN. I really enjoy the little XJ it is a blast ride. I am 38 years old starting back to school for my Paramedic license. It has been a really long time since I have been in school and it scares the hell outta me. I look at this with school and divorce and such that it is a new beginning and a fresh start and a great opportunity for a better life. I plan to check in from time to time with you guys as I have really enjoyed the site. I am trying to talk my brother into buying the little bike, so he or his wife might could enjoy it. I hate to sell but bills and school comes first.

as far east as you can get in michigan 43.027407,
when i started my electrical apprenticship i was about 31 so there wasnt as great an age discrepancy BUT being 10-12 years older then most of the others in my classes (i really only had ONE that wasnt with my other co-workers) to finish a degree, it was a BLAST listening to the 18-20 somethings blabber on about stuff that you had already dealt with while they got all uptight over...

since you are older than they are, theyll look up to you for guidance since youve 'been there done that' and thats kind of an ego boost too...

having been in the service, everyone (well not all because there were some women in my classes who were 10-15yrs older) wanted to hear 'war stories' and since my time in was pretty fun, i could regale them with tales of adventure for hours or until the instructors had to teach SOMETHING that day...

if i could do school full time and still make the money i make now, id do it until i was able to draw social security and then id probably STILL go to school...

ps, sorry to hear about the big D. suffered that myself back in '89. my ex decided she wanted to run around with a co-worker of hers. youll survive and be better off for it...
