    Hi,
I need to replace the fuse box on my 1100. The box is under the RH side cover and I was wondering if any of you 1100 guys have done this and If Chacal's box will fit. Any Pictures would really help.
    Thanks
    Ron

    Ron,

I replaced all the fuses on my bike with a Bussman in-line fuse holder. One for each circuit. The come with a protective cap to keep them waterproof.

It isn't as neet as len's filter holder, but, I had a credit at Autozone that I needed to use.

I just shrinktubed the connections after using a crimped butt connector.

    Hye Dan,

The fuse box on my 1100 sits in kind of a weird place. Its like half under the RH side cover. You can actually see the top half of it just under the seat. There is no room to put the one Len has under there with ouot cutting into the side cover. I really don't want to do that. So I got a wire extention kit from Len and I'm going to try to move it. Just want to do nice job. You know me. Hey get a new tire and get over here so we can go riding. Bring your duaghter too.

:) Hi there,I broke a tang for a fuse in mine trying to give it more tension. After a bit of web searching I found a very nice item that uses the blade trype fuses and even has a sealed clear cover on it. In ebay stores go to Arlington Products and seek fuse block-they have several that my suit you. John Pierson

This is How I install a new blade type fuse panel on my 82 1100.
I got rid of the Aux fuse and relocated the relay under the seat.
I used 2 pieces of roof flashing together for strength. It is mounted to the old panel brackets with original screws. I didn't have to extend any wires just used new connectors and dropped a bit of solder after crimping good. Covering with heat shrink tube.

I just picked up some of those tonight so I can do that to my bike. The PO thought it was a good idea to just remove the fuse block and wire everything straight together.

    Rider XJ,

Sorry I didn't see your picture there. Looks like that would work. I'm still looking at putting it on top of the reserve lighting unit. I got the wire extentions form len and I kind of like having it under the seat so I wouldn't have to pull the side cover. But thats just me. Still thinking but have not done it yet.
