Can anyone tell me what drives the front park lights? Mine go in and out, mostly out, I have quadruple checked the wiring going to the lights, I have replaced the bulbs.

I am not overly concerned but just curious. This is the last piece to my XJ project.

    Thanks

Well - if the lights are going on/off as you're saying, it's definitely somewhere in the wiring -- also check the grounds to make sure they're clean and not corroded.

OK, I also forgot to mention, the signal lights always work. Could it be a different wire than what the signal lights are hooked up to?

my 82 only has turn signals front and rear, even though it has dual filiment bulbs in the signals, but I've never had any of the orange lights to come on unless I flip on the turn signal. is it possilble that someone may have rigged up the lights to work on your bike?

Redfire - if you've got dual-filament bulbs in your rear signals, then at some point a PO replaced the originals with a pair from the front. Only the fronts should have duals - rears should be singles unless you're planning on running another circuit wire and red lenses.

83 - definitely something in the running light wiring then -- you'll have to trace it back and find what's the problem. My money would be on a loose or corroded connection somewhere.

Thanks Altus, I agree with you but I have not been able to trace anything. I will keep digging, I am ready to quit working on my bike and start riding! The front park lights was the last piece of the puzzle, however it is not that big of a deal!

Do it Right. Get it Tight. It's cool to test ride when your bikes' not 100% But you'll feel a 1000% safer if all your safety equipment works. Its so exciting though. You just wanna ride everywhere. I'ma start commuting as soon as my turn signals are fixed. I feel your pain 83
