if i tighten my mixture scre down all the way, turning back, losening it, does it allow more fuel, or decrease it? should all carbs be set on the mixture screw the same turns back, or do they vary due to correct tuning?

they will vary. when i pulled mine which still had the anti tamper plugs they were and 3/4 or of a turn diff across 1-3 and 4 was like 1& 1/2.
not sure about in or out, i would assume that in would richen it up but i've been known to be wrong before.

Turning the screw in or clockwise leans the mixture. Turning it out or counterclockwise enrichens the mixture. Yes they will vary depending on differences between carbs, cylinders and valves.

Turning the screws out will richen the mixture, but you need to start with all the screws out the same amount, then do plug chops for the fine tuning.
