Looking at going with a small speedo since I've ditched all the stock gauges. What ratio speedo will I need to be on or close to on?

I saw another post where one of the guys went with an AceWell. He picked the round integrated option.

With the Acewell, you select the front wheel size and use the number provided to dial in the speed. I have the magnetic pickup and found that the number they called for to dial mine in was off, so after some trial and error, it's now right on the mark. You'll love the gauge, but the auto cancel feature will be missing. Still an excellent tradeoff.

I'm just looking for a very small round analog speedo. I didn't see Acewell having such an item but I'll look again.

mikesxs.com or jcwhitney....they are really the same unit. Made by drag specialties...work well and simple two wire hookup.

Thanks for the links. I ordered from miesxs.com and should have the speedo/clamp in time for assembly of the bike.

Actually, you can get one of those cheaper bicycle speedos that will work. I bought one just to try it and it's good up to 88 mph! All you need to do is mount the magnetic pickup on the front wheel somehow (I used GOOP to attach it. Then you program the outside radius of the wheel into the unit and it's acurate. It even mounts on the handlebars with it's own clamp. I think I paid $17 for it.

Yeah I have one on my bycicle, not the look I'm going for on my XJ. Thanks though.

They're OK unless you want to ride at night (they're not backlit).
