    Hello! I've been lurking for a while now and decided I had to join the group. I've gleaned much needed information from this site. Specifically the correct float adjustment which made my carb rebuild last year a complete success! It runs like a champ and gets 50mpg! I pass bigger bikes with ease. :D

    1980 XJ650 Maxim

    Done:

    Complete carburetor dis/reassemble
    Soldered turn signal wires inside switch back on
    Oil, filter, gear oil change
    Cleaned inside of gas tank
    Petcock rebuild
    Clear gas line with clear filter
    Spark plugs
    Air filter
    Kuryakyn Grips
    Seat (Couldn't stand the seat with the built-in passenger back rest!)
    Windshield
    LED turn signals (rear)
    Front brakes

    To Do:

    Tires (Just ordered)
    Fork seals
    Drag bar
    Sportster mufflers
    Foot pegs
    Mirrors
    LED lights (Front turn signals & brake light)
    Single seat (Some day)
    Change rear fender set up (Some day)
    Forward controls (Some day)
