The pending Eastern Massachusetts Carb Clinic & Tune + Tweak Weekend had added ColorTuning to the event!

We'll have two ColorTunes for getting the Pilot Screw mixture settings ... "Right on the money"

XJBikes.com members within striking distance are urged to stop-by, fly-by or plan to camp-out for the weekend.

At this writing, there are only 2 (unconfirmed) participants. If their work schedules permit ... we'll be cleaning carbs -- YOU clean 'em ... I give you all the tools and "Play-by-play" to get them totally cleaned -- Clean-tuned and then, back on the bike ... for syncing and mixture setting.

While the carbs are being cleaned ... you might want to do a brake system flush and bleed ... we'll be doing that; too.

Plus, if there's anything that needs checking-out or adjusting ... we'll be doing that too. So, even if all you need is to have your compression checked, your valve clearances checked and recorded ... this is your big chance to save some big bucks ... by doing it yourself with me guiding and assisting you.

    Saturday and Sunday.
Plan to crash here. There is indoor "Camping" on the floor of a vacant bedroom. Indoor "Camping" on the floor of our vacant family room. Gads of outdoor lawn space if you'd like to tent. I'll supply a cozy 4-Person tent.
A professional tool box --- guaranteed to have the tool you need for any project. Outdoor fireplace, spacious deck and propane BBQ. Nearby deli and liquor store. It's XJ Heaven for 2-Days.

    Hi Rick,

I'm in Manchester, NH and am trying to get my scheduled clear so I can come down for this! While it's likely I won't be able to crash overnight, I would love to get together with other local XJers for some learning and chatting and some hands-on. I've had Yama-robber working on my bike over the years, and after another failed petcock rebuild, I have had it! (It's still leaking.) Anyhow, forgive my ignorance, but have you posted this event on the xj-owners@micapeak.com discussion board? If not, do you want me to post it for you? I know there are several XJ owners locally who might make the clinic.
Let me know...and I'll keep you posted on my availability.

    Go for it !!!

Get yourself down here for a couple of hours and we'll see what we can do about that petcock leak!

Bring a small bottle of "Indian Head" sealant. Most auto parts store carry it. I don't want to be the only guy tweaking on a bike next weekend!

Can you ride it ... or, do you have to bring it???

I'll be sure to bring the Indian Head sealant. Is that the brand name? I was also going to bring some Sea Foam (aka Liquid Gold!). Is there anything else that I can bring along? I will post this to the XJ Owners discussion board with a link to this site. Is there any relationship between that discussion board and this web site?

I'll be riding my bike down there! She actually runs pretty well, although I know it needs a carb adjustment since I regularly have to change the plugs (black and gunky - which I think means it is running rich.)

Have a great day - keep your fingers crossed for decent weather next weekend.

I'll be counting heads come Wednesday or thrusday ... we'll make sure that there are going to be participants.

Other than that ... I'll be in my little Botique ala Moto for whoever gets down here.
