83 Midnight Maxim 750 Frame and Random Parts up for Grabs

    Hello there XJ forum go-ers! I have an 83 XJ750 Seca, and recently bought a midnight maxim as a parts bike for it's engine and carbs. I totally stripped the bike and salvaged all the parts that were still usable. I have the frame, tank (kinda rusty with no gas cap), seat (dry rotted covering but decent base for recovering) wheels, driveshaft, forks, wiring harness and so forth...i guess a lot of the parts were worth keeping... ANy way... I only needed the engine and carbs and would be glad to GIVE the rest of it away. I only ask that you figure out how to get it. I'm in Murfreesboro, TN. If you want something, email me, and I'll send you a paypal request for the shipping cost, I'll ship you any of the small stuff....the frame may have to go to someone closer! ANy way, shoot me an email, it's MUCH easier to keep track of who wants what through email. Thanks guys and hope this helps someone!

    That's very generous of you Andy!

    I'd be interested in the seat if you still have it. And if the cover/foam is all dry-rotted, I'd happily take just the seatpan. Probably be much cheaper for shipping anyway... Can you let me know how much to ship the pan to Canada?

    Maybe the forks and calipers too, but those might be pretty pricey for shipping.

    Hey Guys! Most of those things I can do.... except the brake rotors, calipers, and the exhaust (right now anyway). I'm a go on the gauge cluster, seat pan and forks. As for now, I'll consider you guys the recipients of these parts. But help me, remember where we talked, cause I've got messages coming at me from everywhere! Let's do it this way...if you want a part, and I say I've got it...email me your name, address, what the part was, and so forth to my email account (i check that alot more often) Put "XJ parts request" in the subject line.

    Are you sure this is an 85. I don't remember the maxim beeing a midnight in 85. Sounds more like a 83-84.

    I just went out and checked...it still has the factory sticker on the frame under the handlbars. The number printed at the top of this sticker is 83. I'm not sure if this is the manufacture date, or the actual year model of the bike.

    That is correct Cappy, 83 Midnight Maxim with a 750cc engine.
