bikes starting slow. its always done this but seems to be getting slower.
i need to give it full choke and throttle, and even then it seems close to stalling before it gets going. then i need to keep the choke in for a while. runs fine, and after riding for a bit if i turn it off it will start right up ok w/o choke. if i wait a few hours it will have trouble again.
    carbs? fuel issue?

    Carbs:

Float bowl well - bottom metering ports - supplying syphon tube - clogged?
    Syphon tube - clogged?

    That's my guess.

Nayonline, I would check out the state of charge of your battery and the alternator output as well. Carbs would be my second guess. Can't hurt to clean them out as well. Hope you nail it!

My xj650 seems to suffer from the same bug. Take a look at my post about icing and consider the replies posted there.

Icing is NOT possible. Be done with the thought.
