I need a right front turn signal for my 82 xj750 maxim. It is the square lense with the flat black pain on the bracket. I'd prefer a new part, but a used one will work as long as the mount is not cracked. Anyone have any of these lying around, or know where I can get one?

    Thanks,
    Phill

I found that site thru google (looks pretty good... ill have to check it out for other stuff), but alas, they only carry the square turn signals that are chrome plated (or at least thats what the pictures are of). I really dont want more chrome on my bike so I'm gonna see if I can find something else.. Though thank you for the assistance!

To my knowledge the stock signals on the 82' 750max were chrome.

I've the same bike with stock blinkers and they're crhome plastic. Hmmm...they must have offered either as a choice, or one of ours aren't stock.

I'll keep my eyes open for black ones, I tend to shop online A LOT as I have nothing but free time at work. :p

Mine are chrome backed too - 82 750J

Be careful buying aftermarket. I bought a set to replace my right flasher. The stealership tells me that we run a three line flasher instead of two - running light, flasher and ground. Since he hates me for some reason he may have been jsut jerking me around.

Since he did such a sh1tty job wiring I had to pull it all apart and sure enough I have three wire flashers that do the job.

If only he had run a new ground wire I wouldn't hate him soo much...

hmmm.. it looks like I might be incorrect and tht the previous owner painted my signals. or maybe he got them off something else. Either way, are our turn signals wired up pretty universal? Id much rather buy the flat black signals than chrome. Are most Yamaha front signals similar?

Turn signal setups tend to be fairly universal, I'm running Honda stalks on my FZR, no modification needed. I've a set of 86 XT125 signals on my Maxim. The world is your oyster, have fun!
