Just got an 82 Seca, its my first bike. I've been lurking here for a few weeks now getting info on the quirks of the bike. I pretty much frll in love with the bike the first time I saw it, as its a perfect blend of sport and classic. She's got 25K on the odo and runs like a top!

She's gonna get repainted soon, as i'm not a fan of the yellow it was painted before.

I do have one quick question though, what is the bulb that the license plate light uses? If I were to walk into a parts store, what number bulb would I buy?

Very nice! You'll be happy with her I am sure.

For my own personal view - do you have a picture of the bike from the front straight on? Curious how that windshield looks from the front and how its mounted and how it sits with the headlight/instrument cluster.

I can take one this evening for you. It took me a little time to get used to it but I think it looks good now.

Wow, that's an interesting color. Is that a factory paint job?

    Congrats! You'll love that bike!

    Congratulations!
The lines of the Seca really attract some of us more than others, not a fan of the yellow though!
I can't remember the bulb number off the top of my head but will look it up when I get off work if you haven't got an answer by then. They are readily available and of course Chacal has them too. I replaced mine with a superbright LED bulb for added visibility.

The Yamaha manual shows the plate bulb to be a "67" my book is for the '81 model , not sure if it changed for '82.
