If this has been covered already, just redirect me. I searched around but couldn't find anything.

I recently bought an 81 Maxim XJ550 and everything is running well, except for the fact that the left indicator will not work. Right indicator works fine, though. What is weird is that, instead of turning on I here a very fast clicking when I try the left signal, making me think that it is the relay or something of the sort. I have never done wiring before, but I am always down to waste a little time learning how to do something. Now the PO installed some LEDs, so maybe that has to do with it.

    Thanks yall

Flasher system is primitive, relies on current draw to cycle the flasher. LEDs generally don't draw enough to make it work. Even lower-wattage than stock bulbs will cause them to not work.

You can change to an electronic automotive-style flasher but you'll lose your self-cancelling feature unless you want to do some serious re-engineering.

Thanks a lot, man. I am going to take off the LEDs and go back to the original lighting setup...I am sick of hand signaling!

Very fast cycling with a stock relay usually means a short in one of the signals. The more load on the relay, the faster the blink.
