Well I think I found the culprit for my carb hang. Mt third time tearing down. Needle jets 2 each have gouges from hitting the needle jet main going in and out. Wonder why only 2 would get the wear and not the other 2.

Well I've done 2 complete cleanings I guess I can say complete. I am not going back togeather until I replase the shaft seals and fuel tube orings. Then I have gone over the carbs top to bottom with a fine tooth comb.

Going to try to do bench sync before install.

You mean the needles on the bottom of the slides? Check if the are straight and aligned properly.

Bill yes the needles on the bottom of slide. I took them out and rolled them on a piece of glass and all 4 needls are straight. Just trying to figure out how 2 can get gudges and 2 didnt. yet my clunk test was good. But when I take the diaphram unit and slide it down on needle jet main housing i can feel it catch when it its the gouges. I think this is the cause for idle hang up. Problem is so far unless Len can find some used ones the needles are obsolete, or as I can say not manufactured any longer..
