Only a few things left to do now:

    1. Play around a bit more with firmware (there's an update for the stock Microsquirt code I'm using, but there's also the MS2/Extra code that I want to try).

    2. Try switching to a head temperature sensor instead of the oil temp sensor I'm using now and see whether that gives me some better control over warmup (it's OK now, but not ideal).

    3. Get some vinyl lettering for the tank and side panels.

    Cheers,
    Paul

    Are your headers... gold? lol

    Nice paint.

How much time/money you have tied up in that fuel injection now?

Oh, I haven't put much more money into the FI part of the bike recently... time's another matter.

As far as what's really part of just a fuel injection project, parts pricing would be something like this:

    Microsquirt $400
    Narrow band O2 Sensor $65
    Oil temp sensor $15
    Fuel pump $100
    Used injectors + cleaning $100
    Used pressure regulator $5
    Used throttle body $10
    Metal and pipe for manifold
    and fuel rail $100
    Relays $10
    Wire and terminals $20
    Clamps and hoses $20
    O2 Sensor bung $8
    Used air temp sensor $3
    -----------------------------------------
    Total $856

Plus about $250 of dyno time

So, not counting tools, wrong turns, "extra" parts, and ignition, it's about $1100.

If I were doing it again, I might put $100 - $150 more into a wideband O2, and maybe skip the dyno time... although I think you'll still learn more on the dyno.

Of course, doing ignition is a pretty good idea, since it allows you to put Microsquirt in place of the TCI box. Ignition was, IMO, harder than fuel. Seems like more people understand the fuel side of things... there were many points where I felt that I was the first person who ever tried to make this type of an ignition setup work.

Pricewise, figure about $25 for a pair of used coils, $35 for wires and caps, a few dollars more for low tension wire and such, $5 for steel from which to make the 36-1 wheel, (in my case) a few dollars to swap out the stock Microsquirt VR conditioner with a custom NCV1124 circuit, and a whole bunch of aspirin for the headaches!

Not gold, but I would check for a lean condition.

O2 sensor and dyno say, "no."

From what I've read it's pretty normal for the MAC headers to color fairly quickly after installation.

    Cheers,
    Paul

    Thanks.

Here you go (the color is called Sunset Pearlescent Pearl - a popular color for current model Mitsubishi Eclipses):

Got the edge trim from Chacal. Very happy with it.

Pretty happy the engine guards too. They may not be the prettiest thing in the world, but they saved me a lot of damage when the bike got knocked over by a guy with a 5th wheel making a U-turn in a parking lot where it was parked. They also saved damage when I dropped the bike a couple months ago wheeling it into the garage  (only result was a broken clutch lever and a broken turn signal)
