Well I passed my road test yesterday so I thought I would run down to the gas station fill up and go for a rip... Didn't make it! I know it seems clear what the problem is but one gas can and a hell of a best friend later my bike was broke down on the side of the road instead of out of gas! Have any of you had trouble getting started again after running out of gas or should I be looking for another problem? I killed the battery last night trying desperatly to not have to push it home (I did have to push it home anyway) so when i get home I'll toss the charger on and see what happens

Shaun - did you switch to PRIME on the petcock?

Also - don't waste your time with the starter if it's not going. Turn off the key, turn back on (so your headlight is OFF) Drop it in 1st or 2nd gear, 2nd if you don't weigh a lot.
Pull the clutch in, start running with it, hop on, and as soon as you are stable, drop the clutch out (fast). Should pop a few times, SUCK the gas right into the bowls and you are on your way.
