Hi all. I've been lurking here for a year now. Haven't posted up my project I picked up the summer of 08. All I did last summer was remove the mirrors, black out the emblems, put on some shorter Virago rear shocks, and put a set of drag bars on.

Here's what she looked like coming off the trailer.

    After the mods last summer...

And tore it down this winter, custom paint, polished forks, polished caliper, blinker removal, shaved tank, shaved sides, custom front fender until I can get a fork brace, all new bearings, Black paint, scallops, skulls in the scallops. I'm sure there is more I have done that I can't think of. Here are the pics so far. Hoping to be riding by the weekend. Waiting for my mirrors, taillight, and rigid struts.

Thanks! I have no idea how he did the skulls and scallops. I had my buddy do all of it. I'm sure he fineline taped and back taped that off and used his stencils and backmasked that off. Not really sure :)

Thanks! All I did was drop my parts off to my buddy and said I want the base some sort of black and you can do what else you want. I'm happy with all of it but the side panels. I wish he would have ghosted the Yamaha emblem there like he did with the tank and rear fender.

Painting and Airbrushing only took him a day or two. He started on Thursday and it was done by Friday night.

Getting it together, changed the oil and filter today. Reinstalled the fresh bearing'd swingarm. Took it for a ride today. MAN, Seafoam really makes her smoke!! It gradually went away after I put some fresh gas in. I have to still figure out what to do with the rat's nest, need to bleed the front brake, install the Sparto taillight, clean up the rear drum, install rigid struts, paint the headers, change differential fluid, maybe paint the wheels, relocate choke, and reinstall the headlight. After that it should be rideable. I'm hoping for this weekend. Here are a couple more pics...
