I got the seat back for my '83; had this one recontoured/flattened a bit and "atomic foam" added, plus a welt color-matched to the maroon stripes. They did their usual impeccable work, take a look: (ignore fingerprint  )

Retained the stock appearance while giving me a lot more room for my lanky butt...

    Niiiice,
I also have an 550 Seca. I just ordered a replacment cover from B&H specialities. When I get it installed I'll post some pics here for comparison - but I don't have much hope of comparing well to yours.

Do you have any full profile shots of that bike bigfitz? I'd love to see them for inspiration.

Like this? Still needs the stripe for the RH sidecover and for me to get around to actually making the rear mounts for the luggage rack; plus the other 3 black carb hats installed and the carbs sorted. In this pic it still has a stock seat on it.

You should be featured in a Biker Magazine, Fitz.

Let your hard work and inspiration be known to those who'd like to emulate you.

Thank you very much. Coming from you Rick that is a compliment indeed.

For the record: I'm not a BIKER. I'm a vintage motorcycle enthusiast, and always have been.

Fitz, where'd you get the cross drilled rotor? Would that fit a maxim 650? lol.

It's an EBC and I got it from chacal. They do make them for your bike; the hub comes "natural" I painted mine black. Not only are they totally sexy they're about half the price of the OE rotor IF you can even find one.

    Highly recommended.
