Ok guys and girls, I finally got the max out for a ride (without running out of gas!! ) and after winter repairs and cleaning it runs GREAT!! but...
I have almost no top end, it seems to pull nice and hard up to about 80-90kph (50-55mph) but at 110kph (65-70mph) there is lots of throttle but it just doesn't seem to want to use it! motorbike spec's says the top speed should be approx. 220kph (140mph) due to a lack of tools and money I still haven't done the carb sync, could this be why? what else could it be?

It could very well be the carbs if they have not been properly synced or are a little dirty. I don't know that I would expect to hit 140mph on that bike though. I have hit 100mph on my 650 seca and there isn't a whole lot more left in the bike.

These engine tend to really start pulling at around 7000rpms so if you really want to get moving make sure you are accelerating between 6000-9000rpms. If I want to pass someone and I am cruising in 5th at 60mph I will drop down to 4th hit the throttle and go. If I really want to push the bike I'll drop down to 3rd. The engine really screams but it should be able to handle it.

If your still not pulling as fast as you think get those carbs tuned.

I thought my bike was running pretty sweet, till I colortuned it .. (closer inspection) after an intense carb cleaning, and discovered no. 1 was not even burning! ... duh ... (stuck float pin) That's 25 percent of go!

Could be tuning or float level. I'd check them out.
