I was tooling around and came across this video. It was educational. It was put out by harley but the 550 lbs bike they demonstrate with is not much different than the xj750 I drive at 480 lbs. Must read for any smaller person.

I remember seeing a similar video somewhere that covered this as well. The advice I recall from it was if you're having trouble flagging down someone to help lie down at the side of the road in a safe spot...someone will stop then!

That is a good visual for sure. I ride and have many harley riding friends who have joked and told me that exact technique for years. I figured if one guy can do that to a 700 lb road king I dshould be able ot do it with my maxim. I haven't had to yet but I am sure there will be a time, we all get a turn of bad lock here or there.

"Ok, Mr. NewHog. Just make out a check for $19,865.00 and I'll have Len come-out and put your plates on your new Electra Glide Classic"
"Let me have the keys. I want to see it with all the extra LED's lit-up all over it."
"There you go. Just turn the Key one click to the right"
"Hey, ... is it OK if I sit on it and fire it up?"
"Sure. Go ahead. Knock yourself out!"

    (Rin, rin-rin rin-rin-rin ... Bladda-boom, bot, bot-bot, bot-bot-bot)

    Ka-boom!

"Damn. I guess it was stupid to try to put both feet up on the running boards, ... huh?"

"Yea, not a good idea. But, no problem. Just leave it laying right there and go over to Customer Service and ask them to let you watch the DVD!"

Yes Hound, but if you were a girlie type, you would have to fix your make up, then think about getting it up.
