hey guys, sorry if this is dumb.
so my gas got old, and i need rid of it. I took the tank off and turned the valve to on or reserve and nothing comes out. Also, what is the best way to get the old gas out of the carbs? preferably without taking the carbs off.
    Thanks guys, happy riding!

I Syphon my gas with a fuel line. Not tasty though. Or attach a line to the petcock and put it in prime into a gas tank

ON and RESERVE are vacuum operated, they do not allow flow until the motor is running.

Turn to PRIME and it should flow fine. If it doesn't, your petcock is in need of rebuilding.

If it doesn't flow in PRIME, try opening the gas cap. The vent may be plugged but you can get the gas to drain with the cap open.

There are drain screws in the bottom of the float chambers.

    jamesc2008,

If the gas has had time to turn into varnish or jelly, then you will need to pull the carbs. Even if you get some out through the drains, there will be more elsewhere that won't come out and you won't get all that is in the bowls.

Pull the petcock, clean and/or rebuild, pull the carbs, clean them
