    Greetings fellow XJ'ers...

In doubt here,... I ripped the rear of my 750 Seca and remounted the grip bar.
Was initially thinking about crafting a cafe "hump" over the passenger seat and mold it
to flow under the grip bar at the read....but seeing this...

I kinda thinks it looks a bitt cool without a "hump"

    What do you think?

What about just making a very slim alu cover from the shocks backwards and cover up the
hole behind the seat (you can't see it on the pic). Smack on a light and the license plate,
    and voila!

Am also thinking about bonding together some stuff and make a very small fighter fairing
up front...Kinda stealth fighter style...It's still a cafe, right?

No one with an opinion? :-(

Have a look at the images here, an impression of what I'm attempting.
    http://www.odegard.it/my.xj/rear.mod/page.html
    (note, it's pic heavy)

Basically this is what I'm going to decide:
    Pic1. (top left), Original look

Pic2. (top right), Removed the tail plastic, the (what is it called?) fender?? is kept.

Pic3. (lower left), Photoshopped the fender off.

Pic4. (lower right), Photoshopped a metal plate into the fic between the shock and the grab bar.

Pic5. (bottom right), Bike from behind. You can see the hole between the seat and the fender.

Now, what I'm having a hard time deceide upon is wether to cut the fender so that it is plush with the grab bar as seen in pic. 3....This makes the bike look shorter and more compact.

In any case I will need to make cover for the space between the saddle and the fender. It will be fitted into the area defined by the grab bar/handle. On this cover I will mount 2 lights. One for driving and one brakelight (oval shape, about 10 cm wide each), I will also mount some indicators back there.

Oh!! and ofcourse the licence plate will need to be mounted.
Now, If I cut the fender, I can choose to mount it angled inwards at the same angle as the grab bar/handle (as seen from the side) or angled outwards and down at an angle similar to the fender. If I keep the fender I will need to have it mounted on the fender (as is now).

Another thing I'm going to do is to move the front lights down as low as possible and fit a short fairing (self made) which will extend from the top of the lighthousing to slightly above the instrument panel.....

So, please tell me your opinions guys!
Should I cut the fender or not?
Do you think it will be bad on rainy days?

Ah! I see what you mean now. It certainly would make it different than most other bikes and maybe you'd get some more storage space out of it if you did it right?
