I went to autozone to look for some way to make tag lights. Well I have seen the bolt lights before, and I figure this is the way to go do to my configuration.

I could just buy some off ebay, but I didn't want to wait. Oh, and walmart had something, but they were pointed out opposed from pointing to the plate. So at auto zone I found this strobe light kit. It has two tag light bolts and with a little modding I changed them into these.

    Cost me $20

Here is how I did it.

I started with the strobe kit witch is $15 at autozone.

First I unscrewed the clear glass, plastic cover. It takes a bit of messing with because they are siloconed in.

Second I cutt the wires to the strobe bulb out, then pushed the bulb and wires through. Once again these were siloconed in but with a litte jiggle they come out.

Once these where out I bought these blue lights from radio shack witch are $5.

You do basicly the same thing to these as the strobe bolts. The only difference is that you use pliers to brake the plastic tabs off the blue linse to get them off, next you push the wires and bulb through the bulbs base.

Once this is done you run the new bulbs through the bolts apply new silicone to water proof, and put them back together.

Next I am going to paint the ends of these Red so they are a running light as well at tag light.

I like these, they are pretty fun. I was going to run an led but the radioshack here HAS NOTHING. So I got the lights with the blue linse then took the bulbs out.

THANKS, they are neat. The lights I pulled out of the blue linse seem to fit like they were made for these lol.

I only worrie about getting pulled over because of a exposed light??

Not sure how it will work out, thats why I am going to paint the ends of them red, but othere than that they are pretty neat.

    look pretty nice to.
