so i FINALLY got my bike running off enrichment. Idles well, occassional popping noises from left pipe, but not very loud.

trying to sync up my carbs, and i've made rick's old skool tool, but i can't figure out how to measure the vacuum on number 3...

If i unplug the vacuum line from carb three to petcock, how do i maintain gas flow to the rack? prime?

    any help is much appreciated.

you can put on prime or move vac line to another vac fitting.

You can put the vac tube on #1, or any other really.
    Or you can use "PRI".

I recommend the 4 tube water filled Manometer as your next project.
Do you want accuracy? Do you want to watch your engine breathe?

    got a link for that?

any ideas as to what would cause popping noises from the left pipe when i come off throttle? I'm going to sync and colortune regardless; i was just wondering if that would fix it or if its something deeper than carb adjustments and cleanliness

It should clear up with the synch and colortune.

Agreed - you should be able to tune that out. I have been using Rick's old school method seems to work fine. I'd like to try the bottle method someday.
