My daughter has a 82 GS 650 that needs a new head gasket, and I don't have a repair manual for it. Has anyone got the torque specs for the head bolts for this bike? She is just trying to put it back to proper condition and sell it. She just got a 2003 1100 Vstar, and would like to unload the old bike., but it will sell much better if not leaking oil.

Dropping a washer into the engine
could easily cause a lot of extra work
    and aggravation.
    5. Install the chrome-plated acorn nuts on
the 4 comer studs with copper washers.
    NOTE
Use a screwdriver as shown in Figure 48
to help route the washers over the
    studs.
    6. Use steel washers with the remaining 8
head nuts. Remove the rags from the cam
    chain tunnel.
    7. Tighten the head nuts gradually and
evenly in the sequence shown in Figure 49.
Torque the nuts to 2.4-2.6 mkg (17.5-19.0
    ft.-lb.).
    8. Install the two 6 mm bolts in each end of
the head and the one 6 mm bolt between the
center exhaust ports. See Figure 50 and
Figure 51. Torque the bolts to 0.9-1.1 mkg
    (6.5-8.0 ft-lb.).
