Very Interesting product. Bet it will be expensive though.

No too bad, from what I have seen. This place has some coats available that aren't too far out of line. Not exactly serious biker gear, but I would get their City Rider if it had a d30 spine protector as well as elbow/shoulder.

I have this in my Spider ski racing suit. It is interesting stuff and yes it is somewhat expensive. There is word out that rights will be sold and thereby more product out there bringing down the cost. It isn't that expensive to make so I understand. Several ski and snowboard helmet companies are planning releases of products with this as the internal component of there brain buckets. These may even be out this next season. We'll see.
You can already get body armour that was originally designed for wake and kite boarders. There are a few dirt riders using this gear,

Same site has a Hoodie version it can be put into almost anything. Expensive though, 87 British pounds is like 174 dollars for the Hoodie, and the 145 British pound city rider would be $290.

The conversion rate is more like $1.60 to a GBP, not $2 - 1.

The makes the Rider somewhere around $230 instead of $290. It is still a bit high, but for the benefit ... sadly, it is still missing the spine protection, as is the hoodie.
