Whats On Your Keychain?

Here's mine:

 

Seca chain: Ignition key, fairing key, disc lock key, U-lock key, Zumo security screwdriver, Mobile Speedpass, Progressive Insurance tag.

WR250R chain: Ignition key, Mobile Speedpass, Rubber tag from MCC in Villa Park, IL.

The SpeedPass is super-handy.

 

Just the key, no ring, no chain = no scratching and banging around. Also, fits in the front jeans pocket where it won't get lost, 'cus that's happened before.

 

got a keyring for each car with just a car key and house key. the bike has it's key and a clip cuz the key falls out of the ign. that's it i' can't deal with 50 things on my key chain like my wife, lol

 

I saw this thread and chuckled and thought I would put in. On my bike key I have a military can opener (MIL-J-0837 or P-38) in case i'm hungry out on the road! Car key only has a remote start and remote lock/unlock fob. House key, Folks house key, USB flash drive (work), and a mini flash light which comes in real handy.

 

I have a harley barrel lock ignition that came on my 650, so on the key ring is the crazy looking harley key, and the factory yamaha key for the tank.

 

I got some new key rings while on vacation. I 'stole' my boyfriends Triumph key ring, maybe it will make the Seca run faster
And I got one from Lake Louise with a picture of the lake on one side and the Canadian flag on the other. I now have more key rings than keys

 

I have a detachable key ring. On one end is the motorcycle key, on the other a house key. I detach them while riding so the house key doesn't flop and rattle around.

 

Similar to that, I have a carabiner clip. Different key ring for house and garage key, bike key, each car's key and fob, mobikes key, bike lock key. Then I can just take the keys I need for the trip I'm on. I hate extra junk in my pocket.

 

For years I kept Grandpa's p38 from WWII on it. Then, lost the key ring and was heartbroken--a year later I found them hanging on the garden fence (a hole in my pocket, and dumb luck--the p38 point had caught on the wire of the fence and they hung there trapped in the tall dead grass til I cleaned brush off that section). Now, it stays safely inside.

 

This belonged to my father. I try to use it at least once a week.

 

Dave, what p38 are you referring to? The Walther 9mm or the Lockheed fighter plane? Also, how do you fit a pistol or airplane in your pocket?

Wow. With all the numbers and all the letters, how does one war get 3 p38s?
Also, that explains how it got caught up on a fence...

 

Gotta love the old metal, too.......he gave it to me back in the 80's and it was sharp then---I used it in college, I used it out of college when I worked aroofing supply job across from a supermarket--it was handy for opening cans at lunch......and it was sharp then. Now, another 20+ years later, lost and out in the weather for over a year, and it's STILL sharp.........and I haven't sharpened it. Bet they can't make 'em like that anymore------

 

They could, but it'd cost like 80 bux.

 

The key with the red plastic cover is for the aftermarket gas cap. The gold key is the spare for my Leyland 270. I don't know why it is with the XJ keys except for the fact that it is considered a 'toy' and my wife says I get the same look in my eye when I am 'rubbing on them'.

I know I have a p38 laying around somewhere, must have been my uncle's.

I had one of these from my NROTC years back in 1976-1977. Wish I still had it. In the Marines they would also call it a "John Wayne."

Once plastic bag MRE's came out, the need ended...although they would have been great for tearing open the plastic MRE pouch.
