NO NO NO You forgot about the volt meter and there is no such thing as an "odometer light." Honest.

Green/white: reed switch for turn signal canceller.
Blue: cluster lights (and that's IT which is why I switched to LEDs for these)
Black: Ground for all the above.

Brown (kinda light:) Power to voltmeter, fuel gauge
    Green (dk:) Right blinker
"Chocolate" (yes, that's what Yamaha calls it:) Left blinker
    Black: Ground for this tap.

    You got the rest right:

    light green -fuel sender
    red/white -oil level
    light blue -neutral light
    yellow -high beam
    black/red -oil level

You can't forget the voltmeter, it is our friend.

My clusters have a HOLE for a light below the speedo but there is no lamp there. I really recommend the 5-way LEDs for the instrument cluster, you can actually SEE the dash at night.

Hmm besides the obvious one of check your connections you just made to the lights, I would check the grounds in the lights - although I doubt all 4 when bad at once. How about fuses? Might have blown one working on the wiring?

a big thanks to bill and bigfitz52

    it's all sorted now.
after tracing circuits i found the problem in the signal switch

seems all of my moving and bendiing of wires when i did the cluster popped the brown/white wire off the back of the place it was soldered

so i pulled the whole switch apart and resoldered all the connections in there.

    now everything works.......

    sweeeeeet
