    Here are my compression numbers:

    #1 #2 #3 #4
    120psi 120psi 120psi 110psi

I did the tests as per the info here...not good numbers huh?
Bike seems to run pretty good though

I guess warm lol let the bike run a couple mins first....those are wet numbers...the dry were 10psi less across the board

Seems awfully uniform so i am guessing throttle was closed?

    (pasted from altus' post)

    Compression pressure (at sea level):
    Standard ....... 11 kg/cm² (156 psi)
    Minimum ....... 9 kg/cm² (128 psi)
    Maximum ....... 12 kg/cm² (171 psi)

Definitely close enough difference in my book. The 10psi variance is likely a valve that isnt sealing completely, but i wouldnt worry about it being only 10psi.

If the throttle was open, another possibility is that you are at a higher altitude. Try a 2nd gauge if you have any doubts, I've heard of them being way off. Also a well charged battery is essential.

EDIT: OOPS I type too slow I guess but here is a good procedure

    Spec:

    156 nominal
    128 minimum
    171 max

    max between cyls 14

So just to be sure you did the following right?

    1) Fully charge battery
    2)Warm engine to operating temperature
    3) pull all 4 plugs
    4) attach gauge
    5) Wide open throttle
    6) turn over until max pressure reached

Bill, glad to know im doing it right, but you forgot altitude, im sure the Himalayas are full of rich bogging XJs due to forgotten tuning considerations

Those are very uniform low numbers with little increase wet. I'm betting it's either a problem with the gauge or the operator.
