Motor cleaning solutions

    My friend at work has an old Honda CB500 that he recently cleaned the motor on, and he made it look very good. He said he used a product called Castrol Super Clean, diluted about 4:1, spray on, rinse off. He said it would not hurt the paint if it is diluted. Anyone else ever use this, or something similar?

    Used a power sprayer, took the oil and gunk off.. as well as some paint.. wouldn't recommend it unless you pissssssssed at it and dont' give rats a$$ as long you get it cleaned. =)

    As for the Castrol Super clean never tried it.

    just did mine, used simple green and a couple old toothbrushes. Then some scotch brite pads on the aluminum, and mothers chrome polish.

    looks nice!
