i was replacing the fuse block with a blade style one when the red wire with a white stripe hit the frame.
i heard a pop and now none of the fuses are getting current except for the one with solid red wires leading in and out of it.
    what blew?

I need my book to answer you and it's at home while I'm at work, but I have a question:

WHY were you trying to swap out the fuse box without disconnecting the battery first?

    ok problem solved
took a long ride through the mountains
    downloaded a wiring diagram
the po had the fuses as one 30 amp and three 20 amp with the 30 amp fuse interupting the brown wire (turns out thats for signal lights)
the red wire is the main fusewhich chould be 20 when i looked at the main fuse again i saw a small break in it that i didnt notice before

ive replaced it and problem solved
i will now disconnect the battery before working on all things electrical
    scouts honor
