Just finished my painting for the year. I'm done. No More. Maybe a clear coat or two before winter.
But ya'll should check out these for amature stencils.
They're not perfect, theres a couple lines and a small spot on the back of one side panel that is a little under colored, but it looks great!
I cut out my star onto some paper after I printed it off google. Cut it with a knife, placed it on, and sprayed.
For they tye dye effect I taped off my black areas and sprayed in succession, red yellow green until desired look.
Pretty neat huh!! She's almost done with her cosmetics
I also used my kickstand plate as a test piece and now its rasta colored too. Ha ha

Any pics ON the bike? Curious to see how those match up with the lines of the bike.

They look good! But IMHO you should definitely carry it onto the tank.

Yea I agree with Mike the coloration is nice but disconnected. If it flowed from the tank it could look real cool.

Hmmmm. Interesting... I like that idea guys! I just didnt want it to look like a big giant Rainbow on my bike. Not my style...
But I might play with the idea...
Like take the star and put it on the tank, both sides, and made the stripe come up the tank to meet. Then wrap it from star to star from the front??
    Hmmmms again..

It's in a direct line to go straight to the tank.

Too bad it didn't follow the seat more, or it would look perfect right now.

I would definitely go to the tank. Maybe break the colors off from each other if you don't want the rainbow look it's bound to be.

Ohhh... how about swirling from the back corner of the tank into a mass of red green yellow flames? :)

    Dpawl,
I just had an image of the flames in my head. That'd look wicked, actually.. Done the right way. Wish I had the skills..

More paint. I took ya'lls advice and added to the Gas Tank. I wish I had better skills or tools. I coulda made this into something wicked. I'm stuck with straight lines...
But doesnt look too bad. Curious to see it on the bike though. We'll see what happens.
    Got my side bars too.
    What'd ya'll think?

That looks nice, the tank looks real good.

Ditch the side covers, or do something different.

Definitely got that homo-rainbow thing going on the side... Yet the tank looks great. What exactly is the ammo box, and where is it going?

Gonna be my new saddlebags. Trying to mount them tonight.
I like the side covers. I need something on them to keep the theme

Man... if I were you I'd keep the star, and drop the SOUL REBEL.

Going with your ammo box theme, I would do a stencil of a 50 cal belt 'feeding' out from under your seat...

Basically paint over the top lip and drop down, as if your ammo belt was coming from under the seat.

THAT would look nice. Still dig the tank, definitely like the ammo boxes. Still not quite right on the side covers, but hey, that's all you :)

Give the ammo belt a thought!

Lol, that'd be hard a crap to stencil! I'd have to do something like blow and I up to like 100 font and do this
    I I I I I
like four or five times and cut it out.
... Or actually jsut find a belt pic and blow it up and cut it out.
I dunno. I'm still not 100% sold on my side panels...
Gettin better at this painting thing though!
I'm thinking about changing it again and putting rasta colored flames starting from the top near the gas tank, and coming down 3/4 of the way on the panel. Leaving the last 1/4 black.
Got a bunch of ideas. But I'm a visual guy. I gotta see it before i like it. I can draw it all day, but it doesnt matter till i actually see it
