So my buddy who works in a bike shop rings me today and says he's just got an XJ750 that was traded on a new bike.
He asks me if i want it.
    I say how much?
    He says $300.
    I say.....

    YES!

I have absolutely no details on the bike, but he tells me the guy who traded it is a regular customer of his shop and that the bike was serviced by them not too long ago. It's also registered until October 09. He also tells me he can drop the bike around at my place sometime next week 8O

    I feel a bit lucky today :D

This is what I call a good buddy. For that price, just grab it and run. :D

Needs a bit of work, but for $300 it's a runner

    No complaints here

    OK - so I've "de-toured" the bike a bit....

So the original M/C was spongy - and IMO a really stupid idea to try and hide it remotely behind the headlight (what were they thinkin :?: )....and I didn't feel too confident in trying to shorten a brake cable....so I had another "normal" M/C off an FZR laying around

Unfortunately this involved using a different splitter....and having to locate it in the fog lamp holder (not too big a deal as the fog lamp wasn't connected anyway)....

But I'm going to have another look in the shed on the weekend to see if I can use a longer brake hose straight to the RHS caliper, and loop another hose over the guard to the LHS.

Overall, she runs pretty well (I've been riding it to work this week), but I have a few more mods in mind....maybe starting with the paint
