Oil leak help...

    I have an oil leak from the oil level sight glass. Is this common and any tips on how to solve it?

    I'm assuming it is just leaking around the glass eye and theres no cracks.Get some gray RTV gasket sealer and a toothpick. Clean off the area with carb or brake cleaner and wipe down. Take sealant put on the end of toothpick and go around edge of the eye.

    You're right, it is leaking around the glass and your fix sounds great. Thanks for the tip.

    If that doesn't work just replace the sight glass. chacal carries them; they simply tap/press in like any other oil seal.

    Thanks, I'm going to buy one so the first time I have to remove the cover I can change it.
