    Sure.
You tuned it up correctly, then a piece of crud dislodged in #4 and now you are rich.

    re-tune, , , re-set. see what happens.

Sounds like pilot circuit on #4 carb has something in it. Check to see if it fires with propane in the vacuum port..

How spooky is this !!! I was messing about with a mates infered heat gun this weekend, and although the bike is running fine, if a little lean, my 4th pipe was cooler than the others.

Checked the fuel level and that was Ok
Will change the plug incase the problem is that.

    Any other ideas

The only reason i know the fourth is pipe is running cool is because the white header wrap on the pipe is turning tan on the first three pipes and is still white on the forth pipe. The fourth plug is a light tan grey color and when its cold outside i have to give extra attention to the fourth carb with the starting fluid. The bike sputters from the fourth carb while idling but when i give it gas it's ok. All the plugs are new. Any ideas on it?

I agree with MN Maxims, check your pilot circuit... I had this exact same thing happen at the beginning of this season.
