Well, me and my XJ survived our first ever ride. This was also my first ride outside of the MSF class.

Started out driving up and down my street (2 miles) a few times. Then I went to my buddies house via the backroads. I live in pretty rural Mass, so there wasn't too much traffic and it wasn't half bad. Following that, he hopped on his bike and we took a 3 hour spin to find a MC shop (which we never found) and ended up a dinner.

Following supper, we met up with another friend and took another 2 hour ride back to my place, just got home at about 11:15 pm.

Holy cow, what a blast! I can't believe I waited until 30 to get a bike. My buddies loved my beater XJ, the gearhead even said it was a really nice running / riding bike. He's a crotch rocket guy, so I took it as a good thing.

All in all it was a great way to spend the first nice, non-raining, night in 3 weeks, and I am totally hooked on this motorcycle thing.

Isn't that the most fun, and scariest moment of your life?!

Hope you have many more fun, but not so scary times on your XJ!
